Before I joined Zenith, I had just decided to retake my A-Levels, which required me to redo all three H2 subjects and H1 General Paper. Initially, I was very worried as I planned to take the new GP syllabus. Lay Chun made lessons genuinely engaging—not just by being a fun teacher, but also by simplifying complex content. He used concept maps and broke down the content-heavy Econs syllabus into easily digestible ideas. I joined Shi Neng’s class midway through J2 after NSG, and despite starting later than the other students, he made sure I could keep up and fully understand the content. Before joining Zenith, I struggled with H2 Chemistry, but Shi Neng’s ability to break down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible terms really helped me grasp them more effectively. He always prioritised his students, often freeing up time for consultations—whether it was early in the morning or even the night before the Chemistry papers. When I first joined JC, I did poorly overall, with Math being my worst subject. This led me to join Kevin's class at Zenith. Throughout my time in his class, Kevin's kindness and care went beyond the classroom. Even outside of lessons, he spent extra time sourcing new practice materials to help us improve. He also sent encouraging text messages, reminding us to give our best and take care of ourselves, especially during stressful periods like exam seasons. In class, Kevin made lessons engaging and easy to follow by breaking down tough concepts, ensuring we could digest them easily. Kevin is incredibly patient — he honestly has the heart of a saint. He answers every question, even the ones that might seem silly, and will guide you no matter where you're starting from, even from ground zero. You’ll never feel afraid to ask him anything, and you can clarify any doubts almost immediately. It’s such a relief to be able to text him and get help with my Econs questions, especially compared to asking my fierce school teacher 😿. He makes Econs feel simple and easy to understand, especially for those of us who are really weak in the subject. It used to be so confusing to me, but after lessons with Kevin, I realised it's really just the same keywords and concepts repeated across different questions. I never saw that pattern during lessons with my school teacher because her answers always varied depending on the context, and there was no clear structure or template — which left me with so many questions about why certain keywords were included or excluded in different cases.

I heard about Duncan through word of mouth and decided to give it a shot. He really did not disappoint. He is one of the most passionate teachers ever and really puts a lot of effort into explaining each and every concept. He also makes the learning experience very engaging by occasionally cracking jokes. He made me look forward to his lessons, especially after a whole day of school.

Duncan is a very patient and the most dedicated teacher I have ever met. He is willing to sacrifice the majority of his little free time to answer any questions I have. With his help, even difficult questions seem a lot easier, and with his tips, I could master the concepts behind the questions easily. I would say that without Duncan’s help throughout my JC2 year, I would definitely have struggled with learning Physics and would never have achieved an A in the A Levels. Learning in Duncan’s class was a pleasant and fun experience. The relaxed atmosphere allowed me to learn better and improve faster. Learning with Mr Duncan during my JC years was fruitful; not only did he explain all the points clearly, but he also taught us a lot of important answering techniques that helped me secure more marks. Whenever we had questions, he always took the time to explain, even after class. Personally, I took H3 Physics, and initially I had quite a bit of trouble grasping the concepts, but Mr Duncan went the extra mile and helped to explain some of the H3 concepts that were hazy to me. I admire his competence in the subject and dedication to his students; what more could one ask for.

I joined Zenith after scoring poorly for my WA1 in J1, and I found my grades steadily improving ever since with the help of Duncan! He is an extremely friendly and dedicated tutor who ensures everybody learns meaningfully and grasps all the Physics concepts fully. Even if we don’t understand something well, he is willing to stay back till late hours to answer our queries! Furthermore, he replies to our questions online at any time of the day, which makes it really helpful leading up to examination periods, where he shares tips on studying effectively. Physics was always my weakest subject. Since J1, I would give up Physics just to study for other subjects. Getting an S in J1 WA2 was a wake-up call for me. I had no one else to turn to but Duncan. Duncan is a great teacher. He balances humour and seriousness in his teachings. Furthermore, his availability at all times allows us to contact him any day whenever we have burning questions, as he takes time out of his own personal life to assist us with physics. Duncan is a great teacher who teaches physics concepts in easy-to-understand methods, different from the rigid ways our schools teach. His lessons are very engaging, giving us the right guidance needed to understand difficult concepts. I remember it all started when I fell sick during the mid-year period in JC1. I was already struggling to understand my teacher’s lessons, and missing even more classes made it even harder to catch up. That was when I decided to join Duncan’s classes. Although Physics had always been the most confusing subject for me due to my weak foundation from secondary school, Duncan was able to teach it in a way that finally made sense. From patiently clarifying my doubts to strengthening my fundamentals and providing consistent guidance, even in the middle of the night, he helped me improve significantly. Since I joined him in JC1, I have been able to maintain straight As in Physics. I am truly grateful to have him as my teacher.

Duncan has always been an extremely dedicated and supportive tutor throughout my A Level journey. Whenever I sent him physics questions, no matter where he was, he would respond quickly, even going the extra mile to call me personally to explain the concepts more clearly. During lessons, after each topic, he would guide us to write concise summary notes together with him in class. In these summary notes, he would recap key concepts and important question types, and we would write along with him, which enabled me to remember the concepts more easily. These summaries became my holy grail before exams, as they allowed me to quickly refresh key concepts without feeling overwhelmed by the thick stacks of notes. Nearing prelims, he went through summaries and topical revision practices with us. He ensured that we were exposed to a wide range of question types, which really gave me the confidence to tackle the questions during A Levels, as many of them felt familiar. His lessons were also extremely engaging and interactive, as he would make it a point to involve every student by asking questions, which keeps us focused and also allows him to identify our knowledge gaps. Overall, he’s really one of the best tutors I have ever had, and I would have never gotten an A if not for his classes.

Joining Duncan’s class aided my understanding of physics so well that I no longer had to watch my school’s physics lectures. To me, this was vital as I had more time and energy to focus on my other subjects and non-academic endeavours. He prioritised accurate understanding and exposure over the duration spent studying. My friends signed up for his classes as well when I recounted my 3-grade jump in a mere 6 months to them. After getting a U for Math at promos, I enrolled in Zenith and started attending Ming Liang’s lessons. Ming Liang helped to clarify all my queries, and the pace of his lessons was perfect for helping me practice Math. His amazing welfare also motivated me to attend class! I gradually saw steady improvement in my grades throughout J2 and eventually got an A for A-Levels!

I really enjoyed my lessons with Josh as he was very engaging and made complex content super digestible. He ensured that the important information we needed was accessible through detailed notes and clear answering techniques for exams, and he was very supportive throughout our time together. Josh is also very patient and always takes the time to explain any questions we have, both in class and over text, making sure we fully understand before moving on. Although I only joined Zenith about 6 months before my A Levels, Josh helped me gain a much deeper understanding of the H2 Bio syllabus and made me more confident in my abilities despite the short time I had.

Ming Liang is a friendly and approachable tutor. He frequently asks if I have any queries that need to be addressed during and after lessons and explains them thoroughly. Even outside of lessons, he answers my questions promptly, sometimes in the middle of the night, ensuring I really grasp and understand the concepts. Under his guidance, I’ve been able to build my confidence in solving questions as I can recall how Ming Liang breaks down complex questions into simpler bits, making them easier to understand. Melvin is an incredibly funny and energetic teacher who truly brings Biology to life. His lessons are always engaging and full of energy, and I never find myself dreading his classes. His unique mnemonics are also both creative and easy to memorise, making revision much easier. He has his own way of teaching that is so memorable that I found it hard to forget some content, even after not touching biology for months! Initially, coming into JC as a DSA student and taking combined Physics, I was immediately behind compared to my peers, struggling to cope with the heavier workload from JC and the intense training demands from my CCA. After getting U for my first two WAs, I sought help from Duncan just a few weeks before promos, thinking that I would at most get a borderline pass for Physics. However, with the excellent teaching methods and care from Duncan, I managed to exceed my expectations and get an A for both my promos and A Levels. This level of achievement would have been near impossible without the unwavering support Duncan has provided me both in and out of the classroom. From replying to late messages at 3am on the night before the exams, to staying back 1–2 hours every week after lessons to clarify any doubts, these commitments are what helped me to excel in Physics, ensuring that I consistently performed well during exams and especially my As. I can confidently say Duncan played the most important role in my journey taking As and highly recommend him to any other students who are struggling with H2 Physics.

Kaiwen was more than just a teacher but rather a best friend that I can confide in as well. I’ve started tuition with Kaiwen since the start of Sec 4, and he pulled my grades up from F9 in Sec 3 EOY to an A1 in O Levels. I honestly was super shocked because I really couldn’t have done it without his help. I would say that his classes have a warm and cheery atmosphere that made everyone feel welcomed, allowing me not to feel uncomfortable or stressed to text him about math questions or literally about anything in life, and he answers my math questions at the most diabolical hours as well. In JC, I’ve continued with him and gotten myself consistent results throughout my JC life and got an A in A Levels as well. I would say Kaiwen is a teacher that really goes above and beyond for every student and cares for everyone regardless of their grades and background, and the only regret I have is not signing up for his tuition sooner.

I was really struggling with H2 Math in J1. No matter how many lectures I rewatched and tutorials I did, even after going through the answers, I couldn’t really understand what I was doing. After a whole year of failing and trying, I decided to join Kaiwen’s class at Zenith. After just a few lessons, I had so many of my doubts cleared!! I started to understand the patterns in questions and gain confidence in tackling even unknown questions. Kaiwen’s friendly and approachable character also made lessons really enjoyable and something I genuinely look forward to, even after a long school day. Before I joined Zenith, there were some topics that I didn’t really understand, and I always did really badly for practical. What helped a lot was that, nearing the exam period, Zenith conducted a lot of timed practices followed by immediately going through the papers, which improved my time management and exam techniques. A bunch of the questions we practiced also came out in A Levels, which I think really improved my score! I never thought I would be able to understand what they were asking me to calculate in the practical worksheet, but after doing so many practices, everything felt so much simpler and clearer to me. My tutor, Xavier, was also really patient and accommodating, offering a lot of consults and letting us text him our questions. The one-on-one consultations with Xavier also helped me better understand important concepts that we need to know for exams. Overall, Xavier is a super nice and helpful tutor, and I’m very grateful to him and Zenith for helping me get from a C to an A in A Levels.

My foundation for math was shaky in my entire J1 year, and I was constantly stuck at nothing above a C. I joined Kevin’s lessons right before my promos and I was able to jump to a B. In J2, his lessons were able to further strengthen my foundation in math by simplifying difficult concepts, making them super easy to understand. Kevin also makes time to answer students’ questions after class and I was able to clarify all my doubts, which made me more clear and confident of all the math concepts! With Kevin’s help throughout the past 2 years, I eventually scored an A for H2 math during the A levels.

Kevin is one of the most sincere and earnest teacher I have ever met. Throughout my JC life, I never scored above a C, and I really needed more time and guidance to go through the concepts and the different types of exam questions. Before Promos in J1 and As in J2, I would spam Kevin with messages, even at 12am! He always responds as fast as he could. I really appreciate how Kevin would go out of his way to stay back to explain the extra questions that I had, even when class ended at 9pm. Kevin always manages to help us identify similar question types, so nothing was unfamiliar. Under his patience and guidance, I was able to achieve an A for A levels!

Having Kevin as my H2 math tutor was the turning point in my A-Level math journey 🙏🏻 I joined his classes at the start of J2 after constantly getting no higher than 45% throughout J1. I really appreciate how warm and welcoming he was to his students. The way he teaches made such a stressful subject feel fun, and I genuinely enjoyed all his lessons! I joined Zenith at the start of J2 as my GP grade started dropping and my essays constantly hovered between Cs and Ds, but I had absolutely no idea what went wrong and how to improve 😭 My tutor Zach made lessons well structured and easy to follow, the writing and answering techniques he taught gave me a clearer sense of how to score better for GP. His lessons were engaging and made the subject less daunting for me, and I started finding GP interesting and enjoyable! Zach was always very approachable and patient whenever I had questions. Under Dr Ryan’s guidance, I gradually learnt how to structure my responses accurately and use the right chemistry concepts with confidence. Dr Ryan is a very dedicated and passionate teacher. His lessons made complex concepts easy to understand, especially with the clear explanations and carefully crafted concept maps he created for us. Over time, I not only improved in the subject but also began to genuinely enjoy learning Chemistry. The A-Level question predictions and the additional double lessons leading up to the examinations were extremely helpful. They strengthened my understanding, boosted my confidence, and made me feel much less anxious when sitting for the actual papers. I’m truly grateful to Dr Ryan for his constant guidance and support. He consistently checked in on us individually and responded to any doubts promptly, which made a huge difference in my chemistry learning journey!

Chuan Li always provides us with more than adequate math practices for us to complete at home, as well as offering additional online lessons to go through these practices to help with our topical revision. I appreciate that Chuan Li always provides summaries of key points for each chapter before letting us start on the questions, as well as identifying questions that students tend to make mistakes on and drilling us on those questions to prevent us from making the same mistakes. Over time, with a lot of practice and help clearing up misconceptions, Chuan Li has helped me become more confident when solving problems, as I am more aware of the possible mistakes that I may make and can avoid them. I would definitely recommend Chuan Li because if you follow his math revision plan and listen attentively in class, he will definitely help you achieve an A for H2 Math.

Being under Duncan since J1 really helped me build a strong foundation in my physics concepts and made physics a really enjoyable subject for me throughout JC, helping me achieve consistent As throughout the two years. I initially signed up for Chemistry class as I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the more rigorous curriculum in JC. Attending Shi Neng’s classes really helped me breeze through classes in school, as he explained the chemistry concepts really well and in a way that somehow gets ingrained in my mind. Beyond this, his lessons are fun and engaging, which helped foster my passion for the subject. Under his guidance, I was able to score consistently well for chemistry throughout JC and even achieve Top of Cohort for chemistry in J2 prelims.

Before joining Zenith, H2 Math felt like a subject where I had to mindlessly spend hours practising questions just to understand a topic. However, Chuan Li’s teaching style completely changed the way I approached the subject. His structured method of teaching helped me realise that many questions follow similar patterns. By familiarising ourselves with the standard steps he taught us, I gradually became more confident and efficient in tackling different types of math problems. Furthermore, Chuan Li consistently trained us to work through each and every question under timed conditions well before the actual A Levels. I’ve always loved Bio, but in JC I struggled to score, especially with the time crunch in exams ☹️. Even though I kept memorising content, I couldn’t identify the keywords needed and felt like I was aimlessly memorising. Phoebe was a lifesaver 🤭 !! She taught us how to break down the marks and plan our answers before writing, which helped me be much more deliberate instead of brain-dumping. As A Levels approached, Phoebe gave us weekly timed trials with predicted questions, many of which were spot on. This made me very confident in my ansewrs. I am also very grateful for her many consultations before and after lessons to go through my exam paper. She was really helpful in pointing out my weak areas and suggesting better study methods. Before joining Zenith post promos, I was struggling a lot with Biology. Despite studying very hard, I could only get Cs (or maximum B). Zenith's concise notes helped me to identify keywords and taught me answering techniques so that I wouldn't get caught up in all the fluff and could actually 80/20 rule the subject. Bio had always felt extremely tiring to study, requiring endless hours of memorisation. However, joining Phoebe’s class made me realise that Bio doesn’t have to be daunting and can actually be quite fun! She made the subject much more digestible with her acronyms for different biological processes and taught us the exact techniques needed to answer all questions precisely and succinctly. The transition from O-Level Bio to A-Level Bio really hit me like a train. The amount of content was overwhelming and I struggled to cope, so my grades in JC were usually around a C. After joining Phoebe’s classes, my grades improved steadily and I eventually achieved an A for Bio at A Levels. The lessons were engaging, everyone had a chance to answer questions, and every doubt was addressed. Outside of lessons, Phoebe would even answer questions as early as 6am, which really helped with learning outside of class. Before I even entered JC, I heard from seniors that H2 Biology would be a very content-heavy and daunting subject 😟. I’m very thankful for having Duncan as my JC Physics tutor in Zenith! Duncan goes above and beyond to help all his students such as answering our questions past midnight, giving many additional practices to help us, and breaking down complex concepts so that it is much easier to understand. Since the very first examination, Aznikah helped me consistently achieve As for Physics, and eventually an A for A-Level! Physics was initially a subject that I had little interest in, and studying it often felt like a chore. I used to believe that Math simply wasn’t my strength. After getting a U in my prelims, an A at A Levels seemed impossible for me. But with guidance from Chuan Li, persistent practice through countless TYS papers, and constantly clarifying my doubts, I trusted the process, gradually improved, and gained more confidence. One teaching style I really appreciated was Chuan Li’s focus on speed and accuracy. Since he knew we understood the concepts, he would often time us while we practised so we could solve questions faster and more accurately under exam conditions. One unique approach he used was getting us to identify the steps needed to solve different question types without necessarily completing the full solution. This was a very efficient way to revise many question types and understand how to approach them. His lessons were always engaging, and time passed very quickly during class. Beyond academics, he also cared about our well-being, reminding us to stay calm, take deep breaths and skip questions when stuck, and maintain healthy habits like sleeping early and exercising. I would definitely recommend Chuan Li because he genuinely cares for his students while pushing them to do their best, not just in Math but also in developing discipline and good habits.

Firstly, Chuan Li’s teaching pedagogy is perfect for someone like me, where step-by-step teaching helped me understand the content so much better and learn how to tackle challenging problems. Nearing A Levels, we were given problem set after problem set, filled with a compilation of questions ranging across all the topics we had learnt. This was very useful as it felt like a good simulation for the actual A Level paper, and the rigorous practice was key to getting exposed to and mastering more question types. What I felt was most useful to me throughout my J2 journey was how readily Chuan Li extended his help. Anytime I faced difficulty or confusion with school work or practice papers, he would respond to my texts in detail as soon as possible. This helped to clear the frequent doubts I had regarding Math, and if I didn’t know I had help available to me anytime I needed, I think I would have felt so lost. Most importantly, Chuan Li goes beyond teaching. He would often send videos of encouragement and remind us what we should focus on during the study break and the start of A Levels. This constant guidance, support, and motivation was something I was very grateful for, especially at a time when stress and anxiety were high. After the gruelling year and the many challenges with Math, I managed to go from a D in promos to an A in the A Levels.
