✨ From Overwhelmed to Overachieving: My GP Journey with Zenith! ✨ When I first entered JC, General Paper felt like an insurmountable challenge. Despite pouring in effort during my first semester, I hit a tipping point and knew I needed extra support, so I turned to Zenith . My tutor: Zach—the most patient and engaging tutor ever. He transformed what used to be tedious case study memorization into a bank of hilariously effective examples that made essay-writing so much easier. Even with the new syllabus and daunting exam format, his targeted practices and additional consults helped me clarify misconceptions, refine my thought process, and actually enjoy GP. But Zach didn’t just help with my grades. When I was overwhelmed and on the verge of burnout, he offered a listening ear and unwavering support, reigniting my motivation across all subjects. (Also, psst... he’s super generous with the monthly welfare, so there’s that too 😉). Jokes aside, I’m beyond grateful to Zach for being such a crucial part of my JC journey. If you’re struggling with GP, I highly recommend having him as part of yours too! 💯✨

I attended Zenith Econs after my J1 MYEs, and I truly believe it’s the reason I got an A for Economics in the A Levels. The teaching style at Zenith is excellent—especially in the lead-up to exams. The content and notes provided are clear, easy to understand, and highlight the most important points effectively. Most importantly, I’m incredibly grateful for my tutor, Lay Chun. Not only is he engaging during lessons, but he’s also very thorough in making sure we genuinely understand the content. He was always willing to meet outside of class for consultations, mark our extra essays, and even answer my frantic 3am questions over text. Lay Chun is also incredibly motivational—he constantly encouraged me and believed in me, even when I doubted myself. His unwavering support played a huge role in my improvement and is ultimately how I managed to achieve my A!

Economics has always been a struggle for me and I found it difficult to grasp concepts. When I joined Zenith under Lay Chun in J1, he was able to explain the most convoluted concepts in such simple terms for me to understand. He was also such a patient, understanding and caring teacher that always gave his best in class to ensure that the 2 hours we spent there every Sunday would not go in vain. Lay Chun always ensures that my queries are answered, be it in the middle of class or even at 3am and is always ready to clarify any of our questions. He has a meticulous and thorough approach in teaching, ensuring that we always understand concepts instead of blind memory work and I believe that allowed me to improve drastically from a U in J2 to an A for A Levels!

Duncan is a really passionate tutor who made me enjoy learning physics! He taught in a way that made concepts very easy to understand and promoted active participation in class. He was always there to clarify my doubts and encourage us especially during the grind nearing A levels!

I signed up for Hui Ying’s classes in J2 as I was stuck at a B for GP. Hui Ying always used great analogies to describe answer techniques, which made classes interesting and informative. The notes given were extremely useful and were all applicable across many topics, increasing the efficiency of studying. Hui ying never hesitated to give me extra consults and conducted mock exams, allowing me to practice under exam conditions. She also replied me quickly every time I needed clarification or marking, making it easier for me to get feedback, which motivated me. My grades increased steadily and I managed to get an A in prelims and in a levels, which I am extremely thankful for!

I joined zenith after promos because nothing I did was making a difference in my score. The writing practices and in-depth feedback from Hui Ying helped me understand what exactly was needed in order to form a complete and cohesive paragraph. The intense paper 2 revision where Zenith provided clear guidance on filling the gaps in my work was useful as my results gradually improved and I finally scored an A for GP!

I joined Hui Ying’s GP classes at the start of J2 when I got an S for GP. With Hui Ying's guidance, I was able to improve to an A at the A Levels. From the first lesson, I told her that I had the goal of studying Dentistry, and she kept that in mind throughout the year, pushing me to work harder because she genuinely wanted to see me attain that goal. Hui Ying was always very dedicated and approachable. Even when I sent questions late at night, she would still reply and guide me through my mistakes. Her feedback was always clear and helpful, constantly encouraging me to practise more and refine my arguments. I am really grateful for the time and effort she put into helping me improve and achieve the result I was aiming for.

Prior to joining zenith, I was constantly scoring a D for GP, despite how hard I tried. After joining Hui Ying’s classes in August, my ability to clearly explain and use examples in relation to current affairs improved significantly over the course of the next 3 months. Her lessons helped me the most through the strategies and formats she created to dissect essay questions, enabling me to answer the questions more clearly and concisely. I’m also especially grateful for the last minute consults I had with her which helped me to pinpoint key mistakes and concept clarifications, which resulted in me getting an A for GP for A lvls!

I joined GP at Zenith mid-J1 because I struggled to understand how to approach GP questions and felt like I lacked a proper foundation. Hui Ying helped me break down the subject in a clearer way and always took the time to ask what we were struggling with so she could focus on those areas. What really stood out was how much effort she put into supporting us, consistently going the extra mile to mark additional papers and answering my many questions. At the same time, she genuinely cared about her students. She offered advice, lent a listening ear, and helped us work towards our goals. Under her guidance, I found GP far more interesting and manageable. I’m really grateful for the support she gave me throughout the journey. Without it, I probably wouldn’t have achieved the A I did.

Having been a Zenith GP student from J1 to J2, I benefitted greatly from all the resources and aid provided. The real life case studies in our lesson notes were especially helpful, allowing me to build up a bank of case studies crucial in the writing components. The practices given also enabled me to get consistent practice and feedback on my writing or comprehension skills, helping me to properly identify my weaknesses and through the guidance of my tutor, improve on them. Hui Ying managed to make our weekly 7.15pm to 9.15pm Monday lessons engaging and fun with her cheerful personality. She was also extremely patient and helpful with any questions. Her lessons enabled me to cultivate a greater appreciation and understanding for the subject. I have no regrets with my choice to study here and would 100% encourage any incoming JC student to study here too!

I joined Hui Ying’s class in J2 as I struggled to understand the structure required and lacked confidence in both papers. Through her clear explanations, detailed feedback and engaging lessons, I gradually developed a stronger understanding of the subject and became much more confident in tackling GP questions. She was always patient in answering my questions and helped me identify areas for improvement. Thanks to her guidance and support, I was able to achieve an A at the A Levels. I am truly grateful for everything she has done for me.

I was in dire need of help for GP after getting an E for prelims. I really despised GP and thought nothing could save me, but Hui Ying was a lifesaver🙏🏼. She made lessons engaging compared to how boring school classes were. GP became so much easier to study, with systematic ways of memorising and categorising examples to maximise efficiency. I was able to learn Paper 2 techniques in 4 weeks that I couldn't understand in school for 2 years. Hui Ying also always went the extra mile to mark practice papers whenever we sent them and held consults after lesson time. I really couldn't have jumped to an A without Hui Ying's guidance!!

I always looked forward to going to Hui Ying’s classes as she made GP fun and engaging. The discussion of real life examples wasn’t just memory work as she allowed us to connect and understand how different issues are related to the world we live in. Lessons never felt intimidating or tough because she always guided us step-by-step through the process. She was also readily available outside of class, making it easy for us to seek her help. Her lessons encouraged us to think critically and prompted us to express our opinions with confidence, which helped me improve my GP skills and push my grade from a B to an A at A Levels.

I heard about Duncan through word of mouth and decided to give it a shot. He really did not disappoint. He is one of the most passionate teachers ever and really puts a lot of effort into explaining each and every concept. He also makes the learning experience very engaging by occasionally cracking jokes. He made me look forward to his lessons, especially after a whole day of school.

Duncan is a very patient and the most dedicated teacher I have ever met. He is willing to sacrifice the majority of his little free time to answer any questions I have. With his help, even difficult questions seem a lot easier, and with his tips, I could master the concepts behind the questions easily. I would say that without Duncan’s help throughout my JC2 year, I would definitely have struggled with learning Physics and would never have achieved an A in the A Levels. Learning in Duncan’s class was a pleasant and fun experience. The relaxed atmosphere allowed me to learn better and improve faster. I would definitely recommend Duncan to anyone who is looking for a Physics teacher!
