I attended Zenith Econs after my J1 MYEs, and I truly believe it’s the reason I got an A for Economics in the A Levels. The teaching style at Zenith is excellent—especially in the lead-up to exams. The content and notes provided are clear, easy to understand, and highlight the most important points effectively. Most importantly, I’m incredibly grateful for my tutor, Lay Chun. Not only is he engaging during lessons, but he’s also very thorough in making sure we genuinely understand the content. He was always willing to meet outside of class for consultations, mark our extra essays, and even answer my frantic 3am questions over text. Lay Chun is also incredibly motivational—he constantly encouraged me and believed in me, even when I doubted myself. His unwavering support played a huge role in my improvement and is ultimately how I managed to achieve my A!

Before I joined Zenith, I was struggling to grasp Economics concepts and had no idea how to express them effectively in writing. Lay Chun made lessons genuinely engaging—not just by being a fun teacher, but also by simplifying complex content. He used concept maps and broke down the content-heavy Econs syllabus into easily digestible ideas. He kept the class active and thinking by constantly asking questions to encourage participation and reinforce understanding. He was always ready to answer my questions, whether after class or over text—even if I messaged him at the weirdest hours. Sometimes, he’d even send voice recordings to make explanations clearer and easier to understand. I remember only learning Firms and Decisions a few weeks before the A Levels, and despite having many doubts, I could always count on him to help me clarify them. Coming from a weak foundation, this was incredibly helpful in addressing my misconceptions and closing the gaps in my understanding. Lay Chun also went the extra mile by providing us with additional notes to deepen our learning and giving us clear essay structures to make our writing more fluid and effective. With his support, I was able to go from a U in my J2 MYEs and Prelims to an A in the A Levels. Thank you, Lay Chun!

Kevin is incredibly patient — he honestly has the heart of a saint. He answers every question, even the ones that might seem silly, and will guide you no matter where you're starting from, even from ground zero. You’ll never feel afraid to ask him anything, and you can clarify any doubts almost immediately. It’s such a relief to be able to text him and get help with my Econs questions, especially compared to asking my fierce school teacher 😿. He makes Econs feel simple and easy to understand, especially for those of us who are really weak in the subject. It used to be so confusing to me, but after lessons with Kevin, I realised it's really just the same keywords and concepts repeated across different questions. I never saw that pattern during lessons with my school teacher because her answers always varied depending on the context, and there was no clear structure or template — which left me with so many questions about why certain keywords were included or excluded in different cases.

Economics has always been a struggle for me and I found it difficult to grasp concepts. When I joined Zenith under Lay Chun in J1, he was able to explain the most convoluted concepts in such simple terms for me to understand. He was also such a patient, understanding and caring teacher that always gave his best in class to ensure that the 2 hours we spent there every Sunday would not go in vain. Lay Chun always ensures that my queries are answered, be it in the middle of class or even at 3am and is always ready to clarify any of our questions. He has a meticulous and thorough approach in teaching, ensuring that we always understand concepts instead of blind memory work and I believe that allowed me to improve drastically from a U in J2 to an A for A Levels!

Before joining Kane's class, I remember being so lost in school as I couldn't understand what my teacher was teaching. This resulted in me obtaining a low grade during economics examinations. When I joined Kane's class, he simplified economics concepts to make them more understandable. Additionally, after every test, he critically analyses our answers and lets us know how we can improve. He makes an effort to keep lessons lighthearted and enjoyable. During welfare week, he takes into account our likes and interests, ensuring that we enjoy our welfare benefits. He is very knowledgeable, relatable, and someone we can all vibe with. Under his guidance, my economics grade gradually improved from a C to an A.

I joined Zenith at the start of J1, which allowed me to build a strong and stable foundation in Economics early on. This clarity enabled me to understand content quickly and achieve consistent results throughout my JC journey. As the A-Levels approached, I was especially grateful for Kane’s unwavering support.
